Tiny, smooth, round, deep blue lapis lazuli gemstone beads adorn these pull through, threader style earrings for a gorgeously simple, boho look.

The ball tip wires are handmade by me using 100% recycled 925 sterling silver wire and a butane torch to melt the tip of the wire which causes it to ball up on itself. As the silver ball cools, it forms tiny divots and dimples which should not be considered a fault but rather they add to the rustic, handmade character of the earrings.

The wires are then hand forged into shape and hammered at the front and the tip to strengthen them and add visual interest.

Lapis lazuli is one of the birthstones for the month of September so they'd make a great gift for anyone born in that month.

ABOUT LAPIS LAZULI

The name lapis lazuli is taken from the Latin "lapis", meaning stone, and the Persian word "lazhward", meaning blue.

With its rich, celestial blue colour, it was highly prized by the ancient Egyptians and used extensively in scarabs, jewellery and burial ornaments.

One of the oldest spiritual stones known to man, lapis has been used by healers and priests to stimulate psychic abilities and is said to stimulate good judgement and wisdom, enhancing intellectual ability.

In energy healing, this stone balances the energies of the throat chakra.
