Pretty, handcrafted, circular pendant featuring a cute little bumble bee. The textured bee pendant is teamed with a tiny wire wrapped citrine gemstone charm. The silver has been oxidised for an antique appearance which beautifully highlights all the details.
The little bumble bee pendant is pure .999 solid silver, handcrafted using precious metal clay, which is then kiln fired, oxidised and tumble polished (see below for more information about the creation process).
It hangs from a wire wrapped pendant bail on a dainty sterling silver belcher chain (choose from 2 different lengths).
Citrine is the birthstone for anyone born in the month of November.

HOW IS THE PENDANT CREATED?
The little bee pendant is handmade by me using eco-friendly silver clay (see below for more information about silver clay).
The pendant is textured and cut to shape and the little bee securely attached. It is then sanded, drilled and kiln fired, before being tumbled in a barrel polisher to a high shine. The pendant is then suspended from a dainty sterling silver chain using a handmade wire wrapped pendant bail and teamed with a dainty wire wrapped citrine gemstone charms.
WHAT IS FINE SILVER/SILVER CLAY?
Fine silver is made from precious metal silver clay, which looks and feels like regular sculpting clay but contains fine particles of pure silver mixed with a non-toxic organic binder. It is eco-friendly since the silver particles are recycled silver reclaimed from medical, scientific and communications equipment.
Once the clay is fired in the kiln, the binder burns away leaving a fine silver piece which is 99.9% pure silver (compared to sterling silver which is only 92.5% pure silver, the remainder being mainly copper).
Fine silver contains no other metals. It is tarnish resistant and, due to its purity, it is less likely to cause any reactions on the skin.
