Handmade 14K gold filled open loop eye pins for use in jewellery making. Sold in pairs (2 pcs) or sets of of 10 (10 pcs) - choose your preferred wire gauge and pin length to suit your project needs.
These pretty eye pins are individually handcrafted from 100% 14 carat gold filled wire. Each pin is looped at one end to create a decorative open loop (or "eye"), which is then hammered flat to add strength and to create an artisan look. They're perfect for forming into ear wires or add some beads to create a pretty pendant.
The pins are polished in a barrel polisher for added strength and shine.

WHAT IS GOLD FILLED?
"Gold filled" (also called "rolled gold") is comprised of a layer of solid 14K gold which is permanently bonded to a base metal, usually brass. The layer of gold must be a minimum of 1/20th (or 5%) of the weight of the item. Gold fill is very hard wearing and will not peel or flake, unlike gold plate, under normal wear. It is therefore commonly used as an economical alternative to pure gold.
